Conference Dinner

Our conference dinner will take place Thursday night at 8.30 p.m.
in Convento dos Cardaes, a monastery that has survived the earthquake in 1755, and that today is divided into a museum and a community of nuns.

The menu will include soup, fish or vegetarian main dish, drinks, and desert. The total cost of the meal will be 25€. If you want to join, please register at your earliest convenience (till May 2).

Founded in 1859, by King Pedro V, the Humanities School of the University of Lisbon (Faculdade de Letras) has nearly twenty departments, institutes and research centres devoted to teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses, conferring BA, MA, PhD and Post-Doctoral degrees, and to advanced research in the Humanities. Temática do encontro

Recordamos que o tema genérico Academy as Community é um repto para desenvolvermos colaborativamente a nossa investigação, i. e., tratando não só dos problemas do nosso futuro como discutindo os temas que nos apaixonam e aos quais decidimos dedicar o nosso trabalho. Assim sendo, este convite se abre-se também à participação sobre outros temas da anglística e da americanística que se apresentem como projeto de aprofundamento dos estudos que nos reúnem.

Lembramos ainda que, além de sessões plenárias, paralelas e mesas redondas, fazemos um convite especial aos investigadores de pós-graduação para que elaborem posters com os seus projetos em curso para que organizemos um espaço para a sua apresentação e discussão durante o Congresso.
